It's officially y'all…our king Robert Downey Jr. is officially an Oscar winner. Personally, I think he should've snagged that little gold man for his performance in Iron Man III, but alas, I was not a member of The Academy in 2013, and I probably never will be. If he couldn't win for that smash hit movie ten years ago, I'm glad he was able to snag it for Oppenheimer. 

We could've had an MCU actor win an Oscar for an MCU role last year, but alas, Jamie Lee Curtis had to go and mess it all up. I'm relieved that Angela Bassett at least got an honorary Oscar, but that statue feels a bit like sour grapes. It would've been so iconic for her to be the first actor to win an Oscar for an MCU movie, but alas, it was not meant to be. If you are holding out for an actor award for a Marvel movie, these Marvel memes might give you hope.
